If you have feline suffering from this illness do not feel discouraged as this is not the end of his life there are ways in which you can take proper care of such cat such that he will live longer than expected.

Treatment and Care For cat suffering from Diabetes

Though diabetes both in humans and in cats does not have cure but can be controlled thus in cats that have this disease a diabetic diet is the best option, food with high fiber should always be given to him. 

Since diabetes occurs when the sugar level rises beyond the normal level thus drugs or medication can be administered to control the sugar level in the blood. 

 Also insulin injection should be given often for onward control of the disease and should in case there are any other illness it should be treated also this is done to prevent insulin resistance as a result of other illness in the body of the cat.

Diabetic cat food should such as Royal Canin should be part of the food given to the feline, this food contains a high amount of protein and fewer carbohydrates.

Thus is one of the best diabetic cat food for kitties who have this sickness but then it is advisable to consult your vet doctor before using the food

Another diabetic cat foodstuff for your cat which is veterinary accepted is the Purina. This type of  food though expensive is good for your cat and it comes in a canned.

 It contains a lot of vitamin  E which will help in the nourishment of your pet's skin and fur and it has fatty acid which plays a very important role in curbing diabetes in cat.
