Another cause why cats do not eat can also result from changes made on  object in the house.

 You might have purchase a new furniture and decided to rearrange them.  These changes often have effect on the eating habit of the pet also if you change the eating position of the kitty this can as well lead to cat not eating.

Other Cats- if you decide to bring in a new cat this might upset the older ones in the house, as a sign of showing his displeasure, he will not eat, thus cats are a very territorial set of mammals.

Illness- this is often the major cause why most kitty are not eating they way they use to.

If you notice any form of unusual sluggish kind behaviors in your cat and he stays in one place for a very long time and does not show sign of activeness know that the cat has a health problem and this will surely affect his feeding habit.

Food Issues- if there is a change from the usual food normally given to this pet you will surely get a reaction from the cat by not eating.

Also if he stays outside there is the possibility that he might have eaten elsewhere before coming home.

  1. if you find out your cat do not eat as he use to be and he is having health problem it is advisable to visit the vet

  1. Make sure before serving the food to the cat it is  in a warm state thus all food should be heated to a mild temperature in a microwave oven as this makes the meal more appealing and tempting

  1. You can as well mix a tasty canned food with the cat food such as sardine which has tempting smell.

  1. It could be that the sense of smell of your cat is low or does not function hence you have to clean the nose once in a while to increase the sense of smell.
  1. Do not change the location in which you have been feeding the kitty hence the food need to be place in an area where there are no distractions or human traffic.

  1. Also if your cat is having tooth problem they will not eat thus you have to give your cat constant oral regular clean up.
