Diarrhoea in cats is a disease that poses discomfort to the pet, in this condition the kitty passes watery stool frequently and normally comes with a loss of weight and dehydration, 

In severe cases, many factors can lead to your cat having this disease.

Some Common Causes of Diarrhea in Cats

There are some diseases associated with cats that can stare up diarrhoea such as liver disease, kidney failure, constipation, and food allergies.

 All of these at part of the infection that makes the kitty stool frequently and also in acute cases you see traces of blood alongside the stool.

 If urgent care is not taken it could lead to a serious health problem for the pet.

Change in cats'' food is another probable cause of this disease, feeding the pet with food that contains too much sugar can stimulate watery stooling feeds like candy, raw meat and sweets, all of these types of food such be avoided.

Some general factors that may result in diarrhoea in cats include: feeding the cat with new food, also if the cat eats from dustbins, change in environment, eating food that is made with chemicals e.g. canned food, eating unnecessary plants and many will surly cause frequent and watery stooling in cats.

Ways of curbing diarrhoea in cats

For the the minor case of diarrhoea, the cat should live on just water for some hours this will help in regaining the liquid lost in the body as a result of dehydration. 

Then food in little quantity should be fed on blend meal for some time. Point of note is not a good practice to administer human drugs to your cat as this will harm him

Avoid any changes to cat food, food that contains more protein should be served to the cat since he is suffering from the disease he will be weak.

 thus you must make sure the cat gets enough rest and always keep him comfortable but in a case whereby you have used all the remedies yet the watery stooling continues then you have to see the vet doctor if possible a test should be carried out on a sample of the stool to diagnose the cause.
