It is one of the largest and leading protective organs in the body, any such problem in the skin could not just mean there is a problem or a disease on the skin it could be a manifestation of infection in the body which is showing up.

There are so many factors that have to look into which might be the reason your cat is having skin problems, as earlier said it might not necessarily be any form of the disease it could be a change in environment or allergies.

Some of the common causes of this problem are food allergies, it could be that you have just changed the food given to your cat or if your cat is been fed poor food dieting this will surely cause some form of skin reaction to him.

Another cause changes in the house, it could be that you have rearranged the house or you just bought new sets of furniture or change the feeding position of the kitty all of these are some of the factors you must look at to ascertain the cause of the skin infection.

Another cause is flea allergies, fleas biting and perching around your pet is very irritating to them.

 This usually causes sores and redness of the skin, also skin disease such as ringworm is another cause of skin infection in felines.

 It is seen in circular shapes around the body of the cat and does spread very fast if urgent attention is not taken.

To ease the case of food allergies adding raw meat diet to the meal of the cat can help a lot also feeding him with portentous cat food will also help in curbing any form of allergies from food.

 In addition, always bath the feline with mild shampoo as this has the properties of getting rid of all forms of skin infection and preventing flea lick.

If the condition does not change after taking the necessary steps it is advisable to see your vet for proper examination and medication.
